Gilda’s Club – Grand Rapids

The Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids is a nonprofit organization that is available in multiple areas and offers support groups, education lectures, workshops, children/teen specific activities and groups, bereavement support groups, and social events for men, women, teens and children living with cancer, as well their families and friends.

FairSky Foundation

FairSky Foundation provides personalized psychological care to individuals, couples, families, communities and organizations. FairSky advocates for psychological, social & ecological justice by promoting the wellbeing of individuals, families, communities & organizations, through the provision of low cost and no cost professional services.

SandCastles, featuring Camp Erin

The SandCastles is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1997 that offers support groups and Camp Erin, which is a week long camping retreat for children ages 3-18 who have experienced a loss.

Shields of Hope

Shields of Hope is a run by local public safety professionals in the West Michigan area. The mission is to spread hope, love and encouragement to those in the local community affected by cancer. They will visit families to let them know they’re not in the fight alone.

American Childhood Cancer Organization

The American Childhood Cancer Organization, established in 1995, provides information, resources, books and support for parents, children, and adolescents with cancer to provide grassroots leadership through advocacy and awareness, and to support research leading to a cure for all children diagnosed with this life-threatening disease.

Cancer Hope Network

Free one-on-one confidential support to all people impacted by cancer, from diagnosis through survivorship. They provide support via volunteers who faced similar experiences who are matched to those needing services. The process instills hope and makes a positive difference in the lives of people touched by cancer.

Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency

NEMCSA resources are directed to programs that aid the poor and otherwise disadvantaged throughout the age spectrum, from pre-schoolers to the elderly of northeast Michigan. The funds include targeted resources aimed at very specific problems as well as resources that are more flexible in nature.

Worth the Wait

Young adult cancer survivors often face fertility challenges. Our mission is to ease the burden for young adult cancer survivors pursuing parenthood by providing financial support for fertility treatments, adoption and surrogacy.

The Sam Fund

The Sam Fund is a nonprofit organization founded in 2003 that offers financial assistance and free online support and education to young adult cancer survivors (between ages of 21 and 39).

Look Good Feel Better

Look Good Feel Better is a nonprofit organization that offers tips for those affected by cancer. Workshops include: A skin care/makeup program, options relating to hair loss, nail care and helpful suggestions on clothing and ways to use flattering colors and shapes, as well as ways to camouflage areas of concern during cancer treatment.
