Helping families who are facing cancer isn’t always about just paying the bills at New Day. Our program director takes the time to personally speak with each recipient to find out what will help them the most.
For Jen, a single mom of two teenage girls, New Day’s help allowed her to spend her final days with her family by her side when she was too sick to travel home.
New Day purchased airline tickets for her daughters, along with their father as a chaperone, to allow them to join their dying mother at her hospital bedside. Previously, New Day had helped the family with financial assistance during mom’s cancer treatment.
